REGISTRATION DAYS

Saturday 28th January – Rebel Sport, Macarthur Square Campbelltown – 9:45am – 2:30pm

Saturday 4th February – Rebel Sport, Macarthur Square Campbelltown – 9:45am – 2:30pm

Thursday 9th February – St Thomas More Primary School – 2:30pm – 3:30pm

Fees for 2012 include Registration and Games Fees for the whole season so there’s no weekly fees.

NETTAS  5-7 Years                    $45

NETTAS 8-9 Years                     $85

JUNIOR  (<17 yo)                        $120

GRAD (>17yo)  & SENIOR             $135

UNIFORMS WILL BE SOLD AT REGISTRATION

NOTE:   STMNC has a “No Pay, No Play” Policy that states all players must pay their full registration fees before taking the court for the first game in March/April.  Payment arrangements can be made with the Club Treasurer but MUST be finalised by the player’s first game.

TRAINING FOR 2012

Training will commence Tuesday 21st February 2012

All STMNC Teams will be training on Tuesday nights from either 6-7pm or 7-8:15pm

Fitness Training for all teams over 12 years on Thursday nights from 7pm-7:40pm

Holiday season is almost over and it’s time again for STM Netball Club Registrations!

Below are the Fees for 2012 and include Registration and Games Fees for the whole season so there’s no weekly fees.

The first Registration Day will be held next Saturday 27th January – venue to be confirmed this week.

There will also be a couple of registration days once school commences at St Thomas More Primary School – dates to be advised.

2011 is almost over – it has been a great year for STMNC – one of growth, learning and strengthening of friendships.

STMNC Executive Committee 2012

The STMNC Annual General Meeting was held last night at the Campbelltown Catholic Club. The newly elected STMNC Executive Committee for 2012 consists of the following members:

We would like to recognise and thank Nicole Tate who has worked tirelessly as Club Treasurer in 2011. As well as being a valuable member of the committee, Nicole was also the respected and much loved coach of the under 13′s and performed umpiring duties at carnivals and Night Comp. Nicole will take a well earned break from her duties in 2012 but will remain playing with the club. We wish Nicole all the best.

Congratulations to the newly elected STMNC Executive Committee for 2012 – we look forward to another successful year of netball.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

CLUB PRESENTATION NIGHT

The STMNC Club Presentation will be held on Friday the 14th October at 6:00pm at St Thomas More Primary School Hall – St Johns Rd Campbelltown.  We will be having a Sausage Sizzle and Disco as well as trophy presentation and plenty of games and fun for everyone. Hope to see everyone there!!

REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER/NIGHT COMP

SUMMER/NIGHT COMP REGISTRATION

 Registration will be held at the Campbelltown Catholic Club Wednesday 31st August from 7pm. 

A deposit of $20 is payable at registration and full payment must be made before taking the court on the 27th September for insurance reasons.

The Comp runs from Tuesday the 27th September until Tuesday 29th November.  Juniors play at 7:15 and senior teams at 8:15.

All teams from Nettas up can play. Registration includes game fees and costs are as follows:

•  Existing Junior players (17 years and under) $45 – includes game fees
• New players $82
• Existing Senior players (18 years and over) $65 
• New players $95

Latest News – 22 July 2011 – Photos, Carnivals, Jackets, Summer Comp Registration, Umpiring

It’s almost the end of the winter comp but there is still plenty happening! We have had bad luck with trying to get team photos taken with all the rain – you can always guarantee it will rain on a Tuesday night!

TEAM PHOTOS

After our first few attempts at photos on Tuesday night training were washed out by rain we have had to reschedule Team photos.  This time we are planning for all kinds of weather – photos will be taken at the Fitzroy Room at the Campbelltown Catholic Club on Tuesday the 2nd August between 6 and 8pm.
Please make sure you hand in your envelopes with the right money to your team manager before or on the night.  All players should be in bodysuits, white socks and sneakers.  You can get changed in the ladies at the club if you prefer. Team managers will send out a reminder the day before with your team’s allocated time slot.

Nettas  – 6pm
9 years – 6:15pm
10 years – 6:30pm

SUMMER COMP REGISTRATION
The winter comp finishes next week for most of our teams so it’s time for teams to get ready for Summer Comp!  Registration will be held at the Campbelltown Catholic Club on the same night as photos – 2nd August.  All teams from Nettas up can play.

Registration includes game fees and are as follows:

CAMPBELLTOWN CARNIVAL
Tomorrow we have teams entered to play the Campbelltown Carnival at Minto.

STMNC Committee will be setting up shelters and hosting a BBQ lunch for all.  Can you please make sure you are there to start at 8am.
If you are unable to attend for any reason please call your coach to inform them as we need to make sure we have enough players to take the court.  It will be a great day – if the rain stays away!
WYONG CARNIVAL

Senior and grad players who are attending the Wyong carnival on the 7th August will need to see or contact Julie O’Keefe on 0418 287 566 to arrange payment of accommodation.

STMNC HOODIE JACKETS

Most players have now received their new club jackets and we have received many compliments on how good they look.

Can those who have yet to pick up there jackets and pay for them please do so before Monday 25th July as we have to pay our supplier.  Please contact Christine on 0405 747 013.
Great new STMNC Sun visors (much better than the old ones) will be available for sale at the Carnival for only $15 as well as other STMNC merchandise.

UMPIRE REPORT

Congratulations to Alicia Parkinson who was badged a couple of weeks ago.
Our girls have worked very hard this season and we are all very proud of Alicia and Julia.
Celeste Thompson has “graduated” from Have-a-go umpire training and will be umpiring her first official game today!  Good luck Celeste – you’ll be great!

Celeste will join Alicia and Julia umpiring Night comp games.  We also have a couple more umpires-in-waiting who will start Have-a-go training next season.
Let’s ensure we all keep supporting and encouraging our girls as they learn and develop their umpiring skills.
PRESENTATION DAY

TEAM PHOTOS

BUNNINGS BBQ FUNDRAISER
Thank you to all those who volunteered to help cook and serve sausage sangas at Campbelltown Bunnings last Sunday the 5th June.  We had a very successful weekend and money raised will go towards our presentation and trophies.

LONG WEEKEND – NO GAMES
Yes, that’s right parents, you can enjoy a sleep in on Saturday June 11th (long weekend) as there are NO GAMES on!

LIZ ELLIS NETBALL CLINIC
We have handed out  booking forms with newsletters for the Liz Ellis Netball Clinic which will be on during the July school holidays for players 7-13 years. It’s on the 13th July at Woodward Park Liverpool.  The Club is arranging transport and supervision for those players who would like to attend.

The clinic costs $65 and consists of a whole day of coaching from professionals plus lots of fun.

If your child is interested in attending please hand your forms together with payment to your team manager by the 14th June so we can make a group booking before places run out.

STMNC WAS AWARDED CDNA CLUB OF THE MONTH FOR GREAT ATTENDANCE AT COACHING AND UMPIRING COURSES – WELL DONE ALL ATTENDEES!

STM HOODIE JACKETS

Our AWESOME team jackets are finally here!!! Don’t forget we require full payment before you receive your order.  If you wish to use your Wests Family Discount Refund as a credit towards your jacket please contact Nicole Tate on 0418 239 150 to arrange this, otherwise you may find Christine wandering around the courts on Saturday – make sure you tell her how wonderful she is for all her hard work getting these jackets produced.

CAMPBELLTOWN CARNIVAL
The Campbelltown Gala Day/Carnival is on the 24th JULY for ages 10 years upwards.

We would love all eligible STMNC teams to participate in this carnival. STMNC will make a day of it with BBQ lunch provided.

Please let your team manager and coach know if you are available to participate asap so we can register teams.

WYONG ALL AGES CARNIVAL

The Grad D and Division 10 ladies will be going away for a weekend of netball and great girly fun at the Wyong Carnival on 7th August.  Players and supporters will be leaving after the Saturday games and staying overnight on the central coast.

UMPIRE REPORT
As you may all know, STMNC new umpires Julia  (12A, 11B) and Alicia  (13B, 14A Varroville) have been kindly trained and coached as they umpire by wonderful volunteers from other clubs and the CDNA.

We have received great feedback about the professionalism of both girls and we have been informed that they will both be Badged before the season ends.

Congratulations to both girls for their hard work and making the club proud. Not only have they been umpiring, but they coach the Under 9’s and play for the Grad D team! That’s dedication!
We had four girls complete their Level 1 Umpire Accreditation Course last year who are now ready to start umpire training with Linda Kable of Cobras on Wednesday nights in preparation for Night comp umpiring.

Let’s ensure we all support and encourage our girls as they learn and develop their umpiring skills.

PREPARE FOR GAMES
Just a quick reminder for parents to ensure players always have a water bottle for training and games and also to ensure nails are cut and jewellery removed before games on Saturdays.

This saves time and avoids the loss of jewellery taken out in a hurry.

STMNC = GOOD SPORTS
As you know, the club has a zero tolerance policy towards abusive, inappropriate and aggressive behavior towards players, other club’s players, officials and coaches and managers.
As many of you are also connected with St Thomas More School, you would understand that we carry the same values and expect the same level of integrity on the netball courts.
We would like to thank you for your support and co-operation in providing a safe and happy environment for your children to play in.
If you are unsure as to what is appropriate sideline behavior please ask a member of the executive or your team manager for a copy of the Code of Conduct.

TUESDAY NIGHT TRAINING
Aside from a couple of nights that have been washed out, attendance at training has been excellent and is going very well.

Training is important for skill development and fitness as well as team building and the improvements are already showing. Well done Coaches!

Please remember to contact your team manager if you are not able to attend training or games.

INJURIES ON THE COURT

Coaches and Managers, please report all injuries to the Association as soon as you can so that the injured player or official can claim for non-Medicare medical expenses they may incur.  The claim form can be downloaded here

We hope all our wounded warriors can return to the court soon.

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS – GAMES AND TRAINING

It’s holiday time – there will be no games played on April the 16th and 23rd except for Nettas and Div 10 who will be playing on the April the 16th.

Tuesday night training will still be on for most teams throughout the holidays so please check with your team manager if you are not sure.  We encourage training through the holidays to avoid interrupting the development of the player’s skills and fitness.

STMNC INFORMATION DESK

You may have noticed our Club Secretary Karen Johnston at the “STMNC Information Desk” every Tuesday night at training.  Please feel free to ask any questions, get more raffle tickets or other fundraising information, pick up a club calendar, order uniforms or merchandise, pay monies, or just have a friendly chat at the desk which is manned from 6pm – 8pm on Tuesday nights on Court 25.

NEW STM NETBALL CLUB HOODIE JACKETS

Christine our Uniform Co-ordinator has been busy organising fantastic new hoodies for our club.   They cost $95 each and are top quality 100% polyester hooded jackets with cotton lining.  They will be custom made to the uniform design so it will take a few weeks to manufacture which is why we would like to get orders as soon as possible.

Please note that team photos have been booked for a TRAINING NIGHT this year.  Please ensure that you are available to come to Minto Netball courts on TUESDAY 24TH MAY at your team’s normal training time (6pm for nettas, under 9′s, under 10′s, under 11′s ; 7pm for under 12′s, under 13′s, under 14′s, Grads and Div 10) in CLUB UNIFORMS, WHITE SOCKS and SNEAKERS.

CODE OF CONDUCT – REMINDER

At registration all players and parents agreed to abide by the Code of Conduct that promotes good sportsmanship and positive support from the sidelines.  Those who do not abide by the Code of Conduct will receive a warning and further disciplinary action will be taken if the behaviour persists.

If you invite family or friends to the games who may not be aware of the Code of Conduct please ensure you inform them beforehand.  The enjoyment of the game for all players is our priority.
